In pre-roost: Juv Glaucous Gull (slightly smaller and paler-headed than the late-Nov bird); 2W Caspian Gull; adult Yellow-legged Gull.
Nearly all the large gulls flew off at 16:15h, most heading north. (ARDean).

No sign today of the juv Glaucous Gull at Judkins Quarry landfill site Nuneaton.
Cliff pool Kingsbury late afternoon, 12x Goldeneye, 4x Shelduck,2x Goosander, and a Redshank (WJE).

December 7th Draycote Water

Lesser Scaup first winter male still in toft bay by second car park. Also Goosander 22, Buzzard, Sparrowhawk 2, Grey Wagtail and Kingfisher.

Walked to Valve Tower and had a few Goosanders and 2 Grey Plovers calling over hensborough bank. Over a hundred Greenfinches by Sailing Club.

The juv Glaucous Gull was seen again at Judkins Quarry landfill site around lunch time. (D Hutton).

At judkins quarry landfill site Nuneaton the juv Glaucous Gull was present again today, viewed from main road by bus stop opposite Queen Elizabeth road. (D Hutton , J Galletly).

At Draycote this morning the first winter Lesser Scaup was still in toft, also a Turnstone on shore by visitor centre. (K Groocock).

Lesser Scaup Dec 1st

After arriving at Draycote at 7-30 this morning it took 25mins to locate the first winter drake Lesser Scaup feeding about 30yds out by the picnic area in toft. Weather conditions were very windy not ideal for photography, but good light. After around 4 hrs some reasonable images were obtained, it was still present at 12-30 when i left.
