NW11666, ringed as a juvenile, 44.5 g, wing 104 mm (so not fully grown), still with down on nape. 10 July 2002, 19.30 hrs BST, W side of Ladybower Res (N arm) at about SK182885.Seen subsequently at N end of Derwent Reservoir, c. SK170922, 19/6/04, 26/6/05, 14/5/07.

Today at Brandon an adult Franklins Gull was present for a short time on east marsh, it was in company with an adult Med Gull. (T Brindley, B Duckhouse).
It was also picked up late evening at Draycote in the Gull roost (R Harbird, J Judge, R Mays, D Cox).
This is the second bird for Draycote the last being a bird that spent several night's roosting at nearby Stanford Reservoir before roosting at Draycote for just one night on November 6th 2002.

A Osprey drifted low over the A45 towards Packington Est at 16-10, it was later found on the estate by (N Barlow ) over one of the pools. It was watched for a period of time before drifting off low north at around 17-55. It was looked for around the Coleshill, Shustoke and Coton area, but no further sign possibly due to the bad weather in the area. (S Seal, D Hutton).

Wheatear male along blind pit lane Wishaw this morning (T Perrins), still 2 LRP at Haunch Lane floods and 1 Siskin and 6 Lesser Redpolls at Whitacre NR (J Wesson) . Over the border at Nearby Marsh Lane a male Yellow Wagtail from Car Park Hide briefly at 08:40, 2 Common Tern from Oak Hide , also 2 Swallow, 5 Sand Martin. LRP, 3Ringed Plover, 3 Oystercatcher and 6 Redshank ,( J Galletly). At Shustoke res early morning 500+ Sand Martins and 31 Swallow, 7 Chiffchaff and 5 Blackcaps and 2 Redshank, (S Seal).
