November 14th and 15th

Common Scoter 10, Pintail 2m, Goosander 6, Dunlin 2, Siskin 3 via logbook P & L Price

November 15th
Draycote Water
No sign of Scoter,s when mist lifted. Increase in Cormorant, Goosander, Great crested Grebe and Goldeneye numbers, Shoveler 4, Gadwall 19, Kingfisher 2, Buzzard 2.

According to walkers i chatted to today who were going round yesterday they said they met another walker who had seen a dead little Auk being eaten by Black-headed Gulls on north shore. Unfortunately no other details (i.e. names, time etc) to clarify whether at any stage it was alive. Sorry for this being third hand news but of interest as the east coast little Auk passage continues.

Napton Reservoir
Common Scoter female hiding in reed bed, Water Rail, Cetties Warbler and Grey Partridge.

Draycote Water (roost)
Yellow-legged Gull 2 adults & 1 first winter
Caspian Gull 1 nr adult (same bird as saturday night)
Glaucous Gull first winter in roost very late
